Key Responsibilities of the Legal
Advisor:

the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  the Competition Act as well as the rules made there under and guidelines
  relating to it and render legal advice where necessary.
• 2. Engaging in research and
  analysis of the specificity of competition law issues and advising on how to
  continue investigations, inquiries and enforcement.
• 3. Supporting its counterparts
  both within the CCP but also external to the CCP with experts from separate
  departments and divisions within the CCP to ensure the necessary coherence in
  the enforcement of CCP competition law and policy.
• 4. The following are expected
  places of work and responsibilities for the holder of the CCP position:
  Participating in the preparation of legal documents like notices, decisions,
  and orders, Representing the CCP in legal cases, if necessary.
• 5. being up-to-date on the
  changes in national and international competition law and policy, and even
  making some recommendations to the Commission regarding changes or amendments
  in the Competition Act.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the position
of Legal Advisor at the CCP, candidates must meet the following eligibility
criteria:

• 1. Educational Qualifications:
  Applicants must be holders of the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or the Masters of Laws
  (LLM) from a recognized university. _additional certified in competition law or
  related field may receive preference Additional qualifications in law or
  additional certification in competition law or in any other related field would
  be an added advantage.
• 2. Experience: You have to meet
  the five years or more working experience in law and expertise in either
  competition law or regulation, to qualify for the job. So, experience in the
  process of drafting legal instrument, being consulted on legal matters and
  representing in legal matters will be an added advantage.
• 3. Age Limit: According to the
  advertisement, applicant s should be aged 45 years or below in their respective
  positions as they apply.
• 4. Nationality: It is mandatory
  for a candidate to be skilled in English, be a Pakistani national and possess
  CNIC – Computerized National Identity Card.
• 5. Language Proficiency:
  Proficiency in English and Urdu both written and spoken is mandatory for the
  post Applied.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the
Legal Advisor position will be carried out in two stages:

• Shortlisting: Those candidates
