The Library of Parliament is research and information center for the Canadian parliament members and staff. It is situated in Ontario in parliament buildings.
Furthermore, it is non partisan agency and doesn’t support any political party. It is looking for the jobs of director communication and Manager Labour Relations. Candidates fulfilling the required criteria are welcome to apply.
Duties:
Director Communication reports directly to librarian. He/she provides leadership in the progress, analysis and evaluation of all internal and external master plans to achieve the vision and goals.
Manager Labour Relations provide supports to the human resources (HR), information technology (IT) and finance teams to fulfill their duties.
Experience and skills:
- Leadership skills
- Management and financial experiences in government or private institutes.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to handle lower and upper level management
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of priorities, rules and regulations of agency
What is Library of Parliament?
The library is supervised by the parliamentary librarian of Canada. It was established 1876 as inspired by the British museum reading room.In the middle of the room a statue of queen Victoria is standing made up of white marble.

The library consists of 650000 various history books. Generally it facilitate the parliament members while some research publications are accessible to the public.
There are several branches and study room services in the LOP. It is also considered as the first building to have an iron roof in north america. Its roof was destroyed by the fire in 1916. Public works as well as government services Canada handled a project that remove all faults in the roof.
